The Migratory Birds Project is dedicated to the protection of coastal birds in Amapá, Pará, Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, and Rio Grande do Norte. We conduct research, promote environmental awareness, and influence public policy decisions in favor of the environment and the well-being of people.
We value culture and the responsible use of local natural resources. Our mission is to protect migratory birds, engage the community, and build a better future for everyone.

Join us on this journey to promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources for the protection of birds and people!

The PAM is developed and coordinated by the Association for Research and Preservation of Aquatic Ecosystems - Aquasis, with the support of SESC Ceará and in partnership with Petrobras through the Petrobras Socio-Environmental Program.

AÇÕES DO PROJETO

MONITORING

We regularly carry out monitoring and conservation actions directed at shorebirds along the Atlantic route, contributing to the National Action Plan for the Conservation of Migratory Shorebirds. These conservation actions are essential to guarantee the quality of their resting and feeding areas, the supply and variety of prey, in addition to understanding and combating the human impacts that threaten these populations.
